For BiVACOR, I created a five-minute hybrid 2D and 3D animated film designed to showcase the benefits and innovation behind the company’s total artificial heart, featured on the BiVACOR website. The piece was developed to communicate a highly complex medical technology in a way that felt clear, engaging, and visually refined. Invented by Brisbane-born biomedical engineer Dr Daniel Timms, the device represents a major Australian contribution to cardiac innovation.

Blending graphic explanation with dimensional product visualisation, the film used a mix of 2D and 3D animation to illustrate how the device works and the advantages it offers. The goal was to balance scientific clarity with strong visual storytelling, helping translate an advanced medical breakthrough into an accessible and compelling screen experience.
