James Cook University
Mareeba
Project —
Director Chris Bretz of Four & Twenty Films approached me to collaborate on a national documentary series for James Cook University. The project followed locum doctors working in remote Aboriginal communities across Australia, capturing their stories and the vital work being done in some of the country’s most isolated regions.
Filmed across 16 diverse locations, each film needed to reflect not just the place, but the people and the purpose behind the program. I was responsible for editing, colour grading, music selection and sound design on all 16 films, working closely with Chris over several months to shape each piece with care and intention.
The result is a heartfelt and emotive series that puts human connection at the centre. From long stretches of red dirt roads to quiet moments inside rural clinics, the films are grounded in empathy and crafted to both inform and inspire.
